4. Office Fit-Out: Business as usual during full fit-out with Avanti Partitioning

Brief: Crawford UK required a full fit-out of approx 10,000sq ft of office space on two floors with the brief to maintain an open-plan feel of the space whilst at the same time creating private offices and meeting rooms. The provision of fully fitted kitchen and washrooms on each floor and a bespoke reception counter with frosted glass screens completed the scope of works, to be carried out whilst the offices were fully operational.

Avanti Legno Partitioning was utilised to provide a classical feel using solid oak and glass to create meeting rooms and offices. Glazed partitions with integral Venetian blinds were used to provide privacy when required and the installation of an operable wall added extra flexibility to the meeting room space. Legno is a natural timber partitioning system using steel subframe, finished with hardwood cover trims and snap-in inserts for a streamlined finish with no visible fixings. The system is fully specified to British Standards for both acoustics and fire resistance and can be moved and relocated to suit changing business requirements.

Minimum disruption: Like moving house, moving office premises can be a stressful time, especially when substantial changes have to be made in a short space of time. Although it was possible to get some work started prior to the move, most of the work was planned to be completed once the office was up and running. Domino worked closely with Crawford UK to ensure that areas were progressively completed and rendered fully operational with minimal disruption to the rest of the office.
What our client said: “We are thrilled with the overall finish. The partitioning with solid wood frames gives a really high quality effect and the hardwood skirting running throughout the scheme adds a feeling of continuity. We were particularly impressed with Domino’s installation team as we were fully operational at the time of the fit-out. They worked very professionally around us and in a very clean and tidy manner, carrying out the more disruptive work before our working day started or after hours.”
