The Brief
CCPI Laboratories required assistance with relocating from a neighbouring industrial unit into a new speculatively built unit nearby. This would provide them with additional manufacturing space and much needed office space. We worked closely with CCPI to develop a specification and detailed design. The offices were built above and below a mezzanine floor which was constructed with a structural steel frame and metal deck with a concrete screed, all upon new concrete base foundations dug beneath the existing concrete floor base.

CCPI required Domino Interiors to fit-out both office spaces and manufacturing areas of their newly built 25,000 sq. ft industrial unit.
New below ground drainage to connect to foul sewer pipe work was installed to allow the installation of nine new toilets and kitchen and breakout facilities. Other works included installing ceramic tile flooring, movement sensitive lighting and polyclad wall coverings within the clean rooms and laboratories.

The Outcome
The first floor provides executive and managerial offices, meeting rooms, presentation facility and general office area. These were created within the jumbo wall using a glazed partition system from Babini, standard metal stud and track partitioning and MF and suspended ceilings.
We understand the paramount importance of ensuring continuous health and safety compliance within any new laboratory and as such we are able to work in environments that contain hazardous gases and liquids.
