The Brief 

Domino Commercial Interiors was proudly selected by Country Court Care to spearhead the complete refurbishment of their Peterborough head office. Tasked with transforming the space from the ground up, we began with a full strip-out of the existing reception and first-floor offices. Delivered under a seamless Design and Build model, the project showcased our end-to-end capabilities, including: 
 
• Comprehensive fabric upgrades 
• Expertly integrated Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems 
• Bespoke furniture supply and installation

Our Approach 

To overcome budgetary challenges without compromising the client’s vision, Domino Commercial Interiors delivered a smart, design-led solution. By integrating clever design interfaces and crafting bespoke furniture pieces, we introduced innovative and cost-effective alternatives that aligned perfectly with the project’s aesthetic and functional goals. The comprehensive scope of works included: structural steel installation, glazed partitioning, full decorations, doors and ironmongery, ceilings, flooring, and blinds. We also delivered advanced LED lighting, full electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, acoustic panelling, refurbished bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a striking feature nature wall, hygiene wall cladding, and bespoke furniture - bringing the design vision to life.

The Challenges 

Following the initial cost analysis, it became evident that the project value - based on the original design - exceeded the client’s budget. Domino Commercial Interiors was brought in to lead a focused value engineering process aimed at achieving significant cost reductions while maintaining the integrity of the original design. This presented a unique challenge: to balance financial efficiency with aesthetic quality and functional performance. Our team took a strategic, collaborative approach, identifying alternative materials, construction methods, and design solutions that aligned with the budget. The result was a smart, cost-effective plan that preserved the project's design intent without compromising on excellence. 

The Outcome 

The completed refurbishment delivered measurable benefits that went beyond aesthetics. High-efficiency LED lighting and state-of-the-art HVAC systems resulted in significant energy savings and reduced ongoing operational costs. The upgraded environment not only enhanced comfort but also ensured full compliance with modern building regulations.
